Oisín Ó Cualáin is a musician who works solely in the Irish language, and in traditional and contemporary music styles. His musical practice draws on three of Ireland’s cultural traditions: lúibíní, sean-nós singing, and Irish traditional music. Oisín uses these historical practices to compose contemporary pop and hip-hop music through Irish. He works as a Musician Educator with Music Generation Clare, and as a Heritage in Schools Specialist nationally.
